Reflected Glory

An image I made yesterday in Colne, Lancashire…  ‘Bonny Colne on a Hill’…  If this town could be summed up in one picture, this could be it… the rows of steeped terraced Victorian workers dwellings still provide the mainstay of housing in the town, despite newer developments, and the Victorian Town Hall, modeled as it was on Manchester’s much larger version and designed indeed by the same man.  Such buildings were erected as testimony to the confidence and pride of our Victorian forefathers in the communities in which they lived and worked.
